Antique Mongolian Camel Hair Rug/Blanket.
Purchased by family member in Harbin 1911/1912 . Used as blanket. This is a heavy item. One of the few items saved and taken when they escaped. It could tell an amazing story.
There are worn spots where it was folded during storage. Two sided with different colors on each side.
The ends had fabric sewn for protection. This was removed as the fabric had disintegrated.. The line can be seen with some green thread still visible. The hair which was protected along the end shows the original condition. I have tried to show as carefully as possible. Blanket has been stored for decades. Leaving country and parting with many treasures.
