Vintage 1920's 1930's outside rear view mirror Chevrolet Ford Dodge ratrod 40's

Here is a used vintage outside rear view mirror that we recently acquired. This is the style that would have been used from the 20's to the early 40's but I have no idea what it came from or what it fits. It has a name on the long bracket which is H.L.G. Mfg. Co if that helps anyone. It is in good condition except for the mirror glass. As you can see it has a large crack in the glass that goes all the way across it. There are no dents or dings on it anywhere. The head is 5 inches in diameter and it has an odd mounting bracket. It is actually a longer bracket that goes into a very short bracket and that all fastens on the back of the mirror. From the top of the short bracket all the way to the bottom of the long bracket it is 8 inches. It is black in color and you would probably want to repaint it unless you like patina. I know a glass cutter can cut a new mirror glass and just glue it to the existing glass if you don't want to mess with removing the old mirror glass.
