    Description

    This auction is for a VERY old flint indian arrowhead.  It came from my husbands grandfather who was married to a half osage half cherokee woman(my husbands grandmother).  It was found by the Arkansas River in Ponca City, Oklahoma in the 40s?? by him.   It's always been in the family since that time.  Back then they were plentiful and EVERYWHERE.  You really have to search for them now.  This one has a chip? out of one side (see photos)  Since this dates back possibly to the mid to late 1800s  you can see the chip because of the notable difference in color there.  Still could have happened a VERY long time ago.  It's been like this since his father had it, which came from his grandfather.  It is approx. 1 3/4 inches long and approx. 1 1/8 inches across the bottom.  It was a part of a larger collection which was sold off many years ago.  This one has been in the safe and was forgotten about until recently.
