    Description

Washburn has been providing musicians with top quality mandolins (as well as other fretted instruments) for over 120 years, and today they present to you the M108SWK, an "F" Style mandolin that truly pays homage to its early predecessors. The soundboard of the Washburn M108SWK is crafted from Solid Spruce and accompanied by solid mahogany back and sides, and when fused together into the "F" style body and quarter sawn Sitka spruce bracing, the M108SWK has a nice warmth to it with incredible tone and projection traditionalists will love. The maple neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard that boasts dot inlays. Just as the fingerboard, the bridge is also ebony, and is paired up with an ABS nut. A matte finish and distressed open gear tuners offer a vintage vibe. Hardshell case included.

    FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?
The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.
    Who refurbishes your instruments?
All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.
Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?
No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.
Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?
All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.
What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?
Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
